“Suggestions of Landscape: Michele Kishita” by Tyler Nelson: In this video filmmaker and director, Tyler Nelson follows me through the woods, in the studio, and an industrial landscape to understand the inspiration for my paintings and the pieces on exhibit at the James Oliver Gallery.
Confluence by Michele Kishita and Pasha Meskhiev: This video was completed as part of my residency at SPAR in St. Petersburg, Russia. The video is both a documentation of the several digital works I created during my residency and a work of art itself. I collaborated with musician Pasha Meskhiev aka Norkus, who made and arranged the soundscape. The in-progress video was screened with live music accompaniment at Museum Night at the Museum of Non-Conformist Artists in 2018; on a loop at my solo exhibition "Confluence" at 2,04 gallery, Art Centre Pushkinskaya-10, in 2018; and as part of a group exhibition at SPAR Museum Night in 2019.
